Have you been to a Yoga class and felt out of place? Maybe you liked the class but felt there was much you needed to improve and you didn’t receive enough adjustments or corrections from the instructor. Nowadays, this is a common experience for Yoga students because classes are too large and it is almost impossible for the instructor to assist each of the students in the proper way.
Just 50 years ago, the discipline of Yoga was transmitted in an individual way or in small groups. Why? Because we are all different and need to work on personal goals.
In the beginning, Yoga was a very personal experience. Nowadays, the tremendous popularity of this beautiful discipline has made this very important characteristic almost disappear.
Pablo Dellagiovanna strives to bring this back.
Pablo believes that the successful Yoga student must receive instruction that is focused in the following 4 areas: Anatomy, Biomechanics, Alignment, and Personalization.
Anatomy: Is the study of the structure and internal workings of the human body. This is where our study of Yoga begins.
Biomechanics: Is the Science that studies the movements of the human body and its application is fundamental to the practice of Yoga. It prevents injuries, maximizes range of movements and unlocks blockages within the body. When practiced with a solid foundation in Biomechanics, the Discipline of Yoga offers a transformative opportunity to better yourself.
Alignment: Correct body alignment is the optimum alignment of the human skeletal structure in which the body is perfectly balanced. Proper alignment ensures your muscles will work efficiently and that you will receive the maximums benefits of the poses while eliminating the risk of injury. When you truly align a Yoga pose following the principals of Anatomy and Biomechanics, you will bring peace, balance, and equanimity back to your life.
Personalization: Forget about going to a group studio where the class is not personalized. With private classes, you will receive the individual attention you need to make real progress in your practice. Each session will focus on addressing the immediate needs of your body (and mind) in the moment. Together, we will work at the pace that is right for you.
Pablo Dellagiovanna, specializes in combining the ancient discipline of Yoga with the scientific knowledge of Anatomy and Biomechanics. Pablo’s extensive experience in teaching regular classes, leading workshops and Yoga teaching trainings allows him to recognize common injuries and blockages (physical and emotional obstacles that limit one’s range of motion and experience). He strives to educate his students on how to identify personal blockages and to equip each student with the tools needed to overcome them. His goal is to make each student’s journey personalized to meet their unique needs. Pablo is a firm believer that each small blockage that is overcome by the student leads towards a healthier and more empowered mind and body.
